STEP 5: EVALUATE YOUR PRIORITIES.
Welcome to Day 5 of the “Release Momma Guilt In 5 Days” challenge!
I am SO proud of you for taking these steps with me each day!
Friend, you’re a woman with the potential to powerfully impact the kingdom! You can leave a legacy for your family and within your relationships. God can use you in MIGHTY ways! You have an identity in Christ and a purpose in this life He has given you.
I KNOW with my whole heart that God has SO MUCH more in store for you!
HOW DO I KNOW?
Despite your doubts, your fears, and the wasted time spent being weighed down by guilt and shame, you haven’t given up. You are here.
You are a fighter, more courageous than you know! And that’s how I know you’re going to take these steps to make sure your priorities are in the right place. That your relationship with the Lord is put FIRST so all else can flow from it.
This means you can not use church, group Bible studies, convos with family or friends, or even helping your kids with their spiritual lives as a replacement for YOUR relationship and one-on-one time with Jesus.
You must put time and effort into your PERSONAL relationship with Jesus.
But to do this as a busy momma, it will mean putting away the guilt.
- You’ll have to believe it’s okay to tell your kids you will play with them later so you can have quiet time…
- That it’s okay to say no to a school committee so you can go to Bible study…
- That you can (in fact God calls us to) put YOUR spiritual life above any & all other relationships.
There is NO shame or guilt in those choices. They are actually God-honoring.
This is so important because I don’t want you to live off small bread crumbs when the Lord is inviting you to sit next to Him at an endless banquet.
I want to challenge you to drop the shame and guilt surrounding your relationship with the Lord by letting go of the rigid expectations you have set (or have been placed on you). It’s time to start adopting the ‘any and all’ mindset. It’s time to have the Word and Prayer woven throughout your day, and at any time. You WILL grow that way.
It’s ok to start small, you just need to start. Which is exactly what the enemy is fighting against you with shame and guilt. Because when you can let go of that and step into time spent with your Father, you will NOT stay the same. Transformation happens through getting to know Him more.
Today you may need to wrestle & spend some time in prayer. Read John 14:15-31
It’s time to redirect your time, money, and energy into your most important relationship, and lean into who YOU are in Christ.
