Today’s portion of Psalm 89, verses 1-18, led me to write out my own list of things that I want to sing back to the Lord.
Lord I will sing…
Of your faithfulness – even on the days I am unfaithful to you, you never leave, you are standing behind me with arms wide open. Psalm 89:8, “O LORD God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O LORD, with your faithfulness all around you?”
Of your grace and mercy – I am blessed beyond measure with only YOU to thank. Psalm 89:14, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.”
Of your unfailing love – your love is neverending and because of your love, I know how to love others. Psalm 89:2, “For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.”
Of the wonder of your hand – you created it ALL, big and small, your creation is beautiful and shouts your name. Psalm 89:11, “The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.”
Of your eternal covenant – thank you for welcoming me into your family, I am a daughter of the KING! Psalm 89:3-4, “You have said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one; I have sworn to David my servant: ‘I will establish your offspring forever, and build your throne for all generations.”
Of your praises forever – I love to shout praise back to you, its fills my soul to sing to you. Psalm 89:5, “Let the heavens praise your wonders, O LORD, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!”
