In Psalm 60 David comes before God with his complaints and belief that God will fight for Israel and they will be victorious. At the time this Psalm was written, Israel had suffered some losses in battle, but then through Joab, God defeated 12,000 men.
This is a good reminder that God is always victorious, and God always comes through. In these truths we can find courage and hope.
“Hope in God is the best principle of true courage, for what need those fear who have God on their side? All our victories are from him, and while those who willingly submit to our anointed King shall share his glories, all his foes shall be put under his feet.”Matthew Henry
So take all of your worries and struggles and give them to God. Know that if you are submitted to him then you will share in all his glories. He will be there fighting for you. He’ll give you the strength and the courage you need to make it through the hardest of days.
“Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.”Psalm 60:11-12
Remember, God always comes through.
